Tuesday (20/10), UB Career Expo 2009 was officially opened by the Assistant Dean III Faculty of Economics, University of Brawijaya (FE UB), Nanang Suryadi, SE., MS. UB Career Expo 2009 which took place 20-22 October 2009 was attended by 29 national and multinational companies and the job market event which was held by the fifth time Job Placement Center FE UB.

In his speech, Chairman of the JPC FE UB, Moko Wahdiyat expressed his thanks to sponsorship and corporate participants UB Career Expo 2009. He also hopes that this event can be best utilized by job applicants because of the large companies to participate in this job market. “We are also working with Jobstreet.com in a job application to do application by On Line”, said Wahdiyat Moko. March 2009 last month, JPC FE UB also held a similar event and followed by a classy company like Bentoel Group, Telkomsel, Rabobank, Sinarmas, Axa Mandiri, BCA Finance, OCBC NISP, Meratus, Pepsi, Panasonic, etc.. It is a commitment to UB FE JPC to provide best services to alumni, especially in the provision of employment information. The same thing also expressed by the Assistant Dean III FE UB, Nanang Suryadi, SE., MS. “Each year, Brawijaya University Graduation Ceremony held to 3-5 times a year. Therefore, the JPC FE UB seeks to spread out as far as possible the job market event not only 1 time a year, but 3-4 times”, said Assistant Dean III FE UB, shortly before the event UB Carrer Expo 2009.

The participating companies UB Carrer Expo 2009 including PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk, PT Telkomsel, Tbk, Bank Permata, BII Financa, BFI Finance, Adira Insurance, PT Garuda Food, PT Indonesia Epson Industry, PT Sinarmas Foresty, PT Indomarco Prismatama, PT Agribusiness & Food Sinarmas, PT Matahari Putra Prima, MNC Skyvision, PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia, PT. Jobstreet.com, etc.. Beside set up the booth, the company also made a presentation about the company profile and recruitment cycle which will go through applicants, as well as share tips and tricks to successfully apply for a job disuatu company. Some of the company participants, and even directly implement employee selection process. Such as PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia, Tbk, which became a favorite because it stands most in demand by job seekers in attendance. BRI conducted a walk in interviews, for several positions on offer such as Staff Development Program (PPS) BRI General, IT, & IT Auditor. PT Telkomsel also is hiring to fill various positions including Staff Commerce, etc. Human Resource Staff; PT Indomarco Prismatama is hiring for Management Trainee positions; PT Matahari Putra Prima is hiring to supervisors in various areas such as store supervisor.
