Faculty of Economics, University of Brawijaya (FE UB) held graduation event for their alumny on Saturday (17/10). After following the graduation process at the University level Samantha Krida Building, Brawijaya University, graduates of FE UB gathered in the Basement Building UB E FE.
FE UB Graduatation held on last Saturday was the graduation Period I, Academic Year 2009/2010. Followed by more than 150 graduates both from Diploma Program, Undergraduate and Master Degree Programs FE UB, the event went smoothly. On the same occasion, FE UB rewarded the best graduate for graduates with the predicate cumlaude and graduate for the best thesis writing. As in the previous graduation ceremony, Dean of UB FE always attend to give his speech. However, at the graduation ceremony last Saturday, the Dean of UB FE, Gugus Irianto, SE., MSA., PhD., Ak, was unable to attend due to being located in Japan to attend the ABEST 21 (THE ALLIANCE ON BUSINESS EDUCATION AND SCHOLARSHIP FOR TOMORROW, A 21st Century ORGANIZATION). Speech was delegated to the Assistant Dean I, Ahmad Erani, SE., M.Sc., PhD. In his speech, Assistant Dean I hope that the FE UB alumni able becoming role models or good role models in society and in the work environment. “We said to the graduates to keep good relations with the FE UB and disseminate the good things that have to FE UB to continue in the community,” said Assistant Dean I. In the end of his speech, he informed the alumni to attend the Job Fair held by the Job Placement Center FE UB on Tuesday-Thursday (20-22 October 2009) at UB Krida Samantha House.
After giving his speech, FE UB handed awards for graduates with the cumlaude predicate and for the best thesis writing. While predicate Cumlaude Doctoral Program (S3) achieved by Dr.Drs.Akhmad Riduwan, MSA., Ak (4.00 GPA) of Accounting Sciences Doctoral Program.
In addition, awards were also given to graduates with a predicate for Best Thesis Writers who successfully achieved by Agnestiyan Putri, SE with the title “Influence of Internal and External Factors Against Bank Intermediation Function of Bank of East Java and the Economic Implications of East Java”, lecturer pembimbingDavid Kaluge, SE., MS., MEc., Dev., PhD; Ardella Pramesti, SE with the title “Impact of Retail Business proliferation (Minimarket) Against Traditional Markets in Malang”, the lecturers Drs.
