Beside Indonesia, the conference was also attended by several universities from various countries such as USA, Japan, Russia, Kore, India, Singapore, etc.. This is an achievement for FE UB can participate in the International level conferences.
ABEST21 Conference (THE ALLIANCE ON BUSINESS EDUCATION AND SCHOLARSHIP FOR TOMORROW, A 21st Century ORGANIZATION) is an international organization that aims to create synergies that will significantly improve the quality of management education in each member institution. “FE UB has just officially became a member of the organization that also concern with the technological advances,” said Cathrine which is Dekanat Secretariat Staff. “ABEST21 want a global knowledge network of business schools that are dedicated to sharing knowledge and skills, development and application of new technologies, and advances the theory and practice of management can be conveyed in this institution. ABEST21 will promote business school education on a global basis by encouraging mutually beneficial cooperation between the member institutions “, she added.
Conference ABEST 21 GLOBAL KNOWLEDGE CONFERENCE held for two days of 16-17 October 2009 at the National Center of Sciences Building in Tokyo. It is not easy to become a member of the ABEST 21. In Indonesia, only three (3) Universities who has officially become a member of the ABEST21 School of Business and Management-Tecnologi Bandung Institute, Graduate School of Management, Faculty of Economics University of Indonesia, and Faculty of Economics Brawijaya University. A pride, because FE UB can sit together with other universities from AUSTRALIA, CHINA, GERMANY, INDIA, JAPAN, KOREA, THAILAND, MALAYSIA, SINGAPORE, RUSSIA, USA, etc.
In addition to participating to achieve the vision and mission ABEST 21, the presence of the Dean of FE UB in ABEST GLOBAL KNOWLEDGE CONFERENCE 21 is also a good opportunity for FE UB to build connections and expand international networking.
